It is always an honor to have these magnificent pieces for your collection. Especially if you get them directly from the artists whose work means so much to you.

Divider is certainly varied — some acid infused beat-driven elements, fuller sounding textured ambient works, and displays an orchestral sensibility with the electronic elements, creating a dynamic sound throughout. The premier single, “Storm King” features a driving ambient techno remix from The Sight Below and is set to arrive May 19th. A follow up remix EP to Divider, featuring remixes by ANSTAM, Taylor Deupree, Kodacrome, Lumia, and Symbion Project is set to arrive later this summer. Taylor Deupree is back on mastering duties here as well.
The EP was recorded on and off from the end of 2015 to the end of 2016. Continually fascinated by happenstance within his synth filled studio, Kodomo setup his equipment in various ways with the aim to come up with unexpected results. On “Numbers”, a SH-101 synthesizer was fed a shifting clock pattern from an original TR-808 which sequenced an Arp 2600, creating an ever changing asynchronous sequence. The recorded material was then fed through software and hardware in his studio, creating dense layers upon which he would sculpt his arrangements.
Divider ia available digitally, on a limited 180 gram clear white vinyl edition of 100, and on a limited CD run of 80. The EP is also available as a quad audio release, fully mixed in surround by Kasson Crooker. The intention of the surround release was to explore the sonic possibilities inherent in the production, adding a whole new listening dimension to the songs.

LORN's music is as fascinating as it is disturbing and brutal. The sound is purely evil. Listening to this on a (very) good stereo or good headphones IS an experience. LORN's crispy 24bit flacs just add "the" extra little punch. Love it, great artist. Marcs
