The latest singles - haze and regret find Kodomo exploring his earlier electro and IDM influences, incorporating deep analog synths and choppy rhythmic samples. The making of both these tracks came together rather quickly and spontaneously. “Haze”, as titled, conveys a vague and dense atmosphere, driven with heavy electro drums and layers of cyclic melodic lines which blur into obscurity toward the end. “Regret” — an emotionally potent track — is saturated with sharp distorted beats and chopped up vocal samples, followed by crushing synth pads and solitary piano.
